What journey will be in your next sketchbook journal?

This is the ferry boat that took us to the Greek island of Santorini.  I took the original photo as it was leaving the island, on it’s way to pick up another group of passengers starting their new journey.  (I applied a sketch effect to the photo using Photoshop Elements.)

  1. This is wonderful. The things you do with different programs oh manipulation master! Did you add text in photoshop too? The Greek Isles look amazing. I always imagine myself as Meryl Streep’s character in Mama Mia, the movie. Be still my heart. Margie

  2. Beautiful! I love how it creates a sense of yearning, at least in me. I am planning a trip to Greece this summer and so the picture, along with the haiku, is so enticing… 🙂

  4. Oh, such a beautiful place. Santorini is breathtaking with landscape that is perfect for healing and making new adventures. I wish for all of us a journey filled with love, happiness and peace…it’s possible right ? Have a great day!

  5. This pictures holds the dreams of my summers. Sailing around in Greece, island hoping through the whole summer, what could be better than that? As always it’s a lovely picture and the sketchbook framing and effect fits the subject perfectly. The haiku is a little blooming bud. My next journey? First back to Norway, then quickly on to Algiers and West-Sahara.

  6. How wonderful to utilize this technique to turn your photo into a sketch for your new journal as you were setting out on this “journey” on this Greek sea!

  7. Journeys into the unknown are wonderful experiences, whether actual travel or inwards travel for whatever reasons. I still enjoy this pic. A very Merry Christmas to you. Look forward to many more journeys from you that include us. Best to you, :O)
