the snow will still fall
paths and journeys will shift
moving forward
>>:::<<
This is a combined photo and doodle image, which I worked on this morning in the warmth of my home and surrounded outside by one of a few snowstorms we are receiving this week. Also, this blog, which includes my explorations and experiments with photography, digital manipulations, doodling, haiku, etc., was created in 2011 as a therapeutic way for me to move forward in the midst of many developing health issues and chronic pain.
Here is a larger version of the doodle. I created it on my iPad using the Paper by 53 and ArtStudio apps. Before moving forward with more doodling recently, my attempts consisted of very bad stick figure drawings. 🙂

I like your art work. You’re so creative.
Thank you, Jim! I really appreciate the compliment!
I remember once when a friend said to me that she couldn’t draw a straight line, my reply was that it depended what she did with it.
That’s a very good way to look at it. Thank you for this perspective, Jane!
Wonderful, the snow is steadily falling here in Wisconsin. Blessings always, Ellen
Thank you, Ellen! Hope the snow is tapering off of for you. We are supposed to get more snow towards the end of the week.
Beuatiful! You are a very good artista which makes very creative images.
Thank you very much, Gian Paolo! Again, you give me such a lovely compliment!

Coolish — love both works of art – but burr for the bird and it sure made for a beautiful photo
Thank you, Kristeen! Yes, the poor little bird looked like it did not want to be out in this snowstorm.
Love photo your photo and your little card – you are so creative. The message is so true – I have very easy to move away from not so good things … and I think it’s why I’m waking up happy most mornings. Have a great weekend.
Thank you very much, Viveka! The doodling is fun. So good to hear you can move away from the negative easily and have happy morning wake ups!
Your illustration is really fun and cute (and true). I also loved that sweet little bird in the photo.

Wow… wow…
Thank you, Plaridel!
Oh, that poor little frozen bird. Glad to hear you’ve got a nice warm home to live in through the snow storm.
You’re actually very good at drawing stick figures – mine tend to be a little stiff – yours look fluid and alive.
Thank you so much, Vicki! Yes, it’s nice to be able to cozy up. It’s fun to try these doodles, but right now, it has to be really basic. I’m not very good at all when it comes to drawing and painting. If I didn’t have the iPad, I would have several sheets of paper wadded up in and around the waste basket with all my attempts.

Sweet, snowy little bird.
Thank you very much, Pat! This is a sweet little bird who visits us regularly for treats. He has us wrapped around his little bird toe!
Cool! Very creative!!
🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you for sharing your beautiful art work with us!
Thank you very much, Amy! It’s fun, and I’m no artist by any means when it comes to drawing and painting. It’s fun to keep trying, though!

Fergie, this is wonderful! Love the photo and definitely enjoyed the doodle 🙂
Aw, thank you so much, Gracie! I really appreciate the compliment!
Oh Fergie..I am sorry, I closed the link early so that I could get most of the post written as I have a doc appointment Monday and I think I will be going for another test and won’t have time…I put it up Tuesday at midnight and usually take it down Sat morning..sorry about that… I will check first next time….Michelle
Not a problem, Michelle! My blogging has been irregular and sporadic lately anyway. I just hope you are managing ok in the midst of everything you are dealing with.
How cute! That’s a really nice gift if I receive.
Thank you very much, Cocomino. I don’t recall giving any of my doodles as a gift, but I might give it a try.
What a pretty card. You did beautifully!
Thank you very much! I really appreciate the encouragement!

This is fabulous and something really different!
And your cartoon drawing is so good, and the words so true! I love it all.😊
Stick men are my limit where drawing is concerned. 😊
Christine xz
Thank you very much, Christine! I wanted to try something a little different. It’s amazing how intimidating it is to try something like doodling that comes so easily to some, yet so difficult for me. But it’s fun to keep trying.
This is just the message I needed today. Thank you!
I’m so glad that it was helpful! Thank you very much, Sarah!
Oh, I love your doodle and I love your photo! Very well combined for moving forward …or forward moving!
🙂
Thank you so much, Marina! I call them my doodles, and I think “doodle” gives the impression that it is something done rather quickly, but my doodles sure take a long time…haha. I can only imagine the hours it would take if I actually tried to “sketch” something. It’s still fun to keep trying.

Thank you very much, Marina! I wish the same for you. Hope your move to Los Angeles is going well.
Love this a lot. I will carry by heart the message of this post.
Oh, thank you so much, IT! 🙂
making art is so healing. oh, and it’s fun, too!! I love your stick figures. they are so alive!!
Thank you very much, Currie! Yes, art is very healing and it can take you away from your struggles for a time. It’s fun to keep trying the doodles.

What a beautiful and cfeative interpretation Fergie! Love it 🙂
Thank you so much, Madhu! I so appreciate the compliment!
I love you “doodle”. The expression on the grey balloon made me want to find a way to grasp hold of it and bring it some cheer. Poor little negative balloon, don’t worry…we’ll brighten you up and find you a new home with a fresh start. Who knows maybe the negative can be written into a book where it finds fulfillment in getting to a more rich and happy future. 🙂
Oh, that’s so sweet! Thank you for this sentiment, Kris!
Beautiful. I do feel for the poor little bird. I hope you didn’t get too much snow.
Thank you very much, TBM. Yes the poor little bird, who is a regular here and very entertaining, often sits outside our window looking very cold and/or hungry, as if to seek pity from us. But I do admit, I would not want to be out in that snowstorm.
We are supposed to get more snow later this week.

The card is just delightful!
Thank you very much, ladyfi!
tricky combination of two different media!
Yes, it did take a bit of work to combine the two since I hadn’t done it before, but it’s fun to try something different.

Love this … such wisdom and charm. We have more snow coming our way!
Thank you so much, Diane! It was fun.
Hope you didn’t get too much snow. We have more coming our way later this week, also.

Such a sweet rendering to go with your photo and haiku FM. Margie
Thank you very much, Margie! I just had to try something a little different, and it was fun.
This is so creative, the lovely photo combined with your “doodle”. And moving forward – a good reminder for all of us with pain issues.
I hope you are feeling better, Fergie. It’s one day at a time, but as you say, there’s always room for “good things to settle in”. 🙂 Thank you!
Oh, thank you so much, Betty! I hope you are managing ok as well. It is a roller coaster and I know the blogging is sporadic, but I’m still trying to move forward. Stay well, Betty!
brave bird – a winter hero!
Yes, these little birds that stay around for the winter are very brave to face the elements. It’s nice to be able to help even a few of them have easier access to food.
thank you for sending your photo to my group BLOG IT,
so I could introduce your picture
with credit line and link in my daily blog at
I hope that will support your work!
Nice artwork. The bluebird looks pretty in the snow, but, like me, is ready for spring!
That doodle is great! very creative. I also like the image with the bird.
I like the softness of the photo, with that beautiful little blue bird, and the positive message of your creative doodle, brings home to me how much I have to be thankful for. Thank you!
Excellent choice and great quote.
Your doodle is lovely. 🙂 I hope you are better now than last year. 🙂
Love it, very creative.
