We still have a few honeybees buzzing around drinking in the last few drops of nectar from our flowers before they are done for the season.
What nourishes you? What is the nectar that feeds your mind, body, and/or spirit?
.

Watching bees sucking the flowers dry is a start for nourishment of my soul. The only place that calms me is going deep in the woods for hours. Love taking photos while I’m there.
Sounds definitely like nourishment! Thank you for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
Such a wonderful shot of the bee!
Thank you, Pat! It’s a challenge to get them to pose, but I was pleased with this one.
Stunning shot!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

What a spectacular photograph.
At the moment beer nourishes me so I need to find a better nectar (this is only half tongue-in-cheek!)
Hi Julie! Thank you very much! Beer works, but you’re right, it’s good to have something else too.
oh I love this fergiemoto! great shot. yoga nourishes me – asana, pranayama, meditation. It’s my daily juice 🙂
Thank you so much for sharing your daily nourishment! I’ve done a little yoga, but will be getting into it more.

What a wonderful shot, and the thought behind it…
I can only answer by saying what I wish would nourish my brain and that’s kindness and beauty. [Your food I’m sure! 🙂 ]
Thank you so much, Marina! Yes, kindness and beauty are great nourishments for me too. Thank you for sharing. 🙂
Beautiful shot!! And, as Marina says, beautiful thought!! Me encanta!

Great shot of the honey bee.
A walk amongst nature always nourishes my soul. I am starting to feel much better after 3 walks this week (so far). Hopefully, tomorrow will be the fourth.
Thank you, Victoria! Yes, nature is highly nourishing and I’m glad you are feeling better. Keep on walking among nature!

Bees do look so cute with their big eyes and fluff coat.
It’s amazing how fluffy they look close up! I just want to touch it, but not a good idea. Thank you, Paula!
Terrific shot of nature in action!
Thank you very much, Phil! They are fascinating.
wondrous share!! thanks so much for adding more JOY to my day and Life.
Thank you very much, Currie! I’m so glad it added joy to your day.
Oh great capture and you can see the yellow pollen baskets..wonderful for Nature Notes…You mentioned a tumor on the house finch..it might be Avian Pox..don’t look unless you want to as it is kind of gross…http://birds.cornell.edu/hofi/recognizing.html.. Michelle
It could be that. The tumor is about half the size of its head. Also, I just noticed a deformed foot from a photo I just took of a male finch. This problem seems prevalent.
Thanks for the info, Michelle.
What a cute looking bee. 😆
Thank you very much, Eliz! Yes, they are little cuties.
Such a cutie. Excellent capture, fergie…. ;oD
Nature, full stop, is what nourishes me, and my ability to daydream at the drop of a hat, no matter where I am!
Thank you so much, Janina! Yes, nature! Nature is quite the popular answer for obvious reasons in my opinion.
Daydreaming is nice too! Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Fergie….I mean, in general. You really inspire me with attempting to take good shots of moving animals and bugs.
Wow, Rommel! Thank you very much! That is such a lovely compliment.
’emotional nectar’ … love that … and you have positively nourished my emotions with this!
Thank you very much, Diane! I am glad to have helped nourish your emotions!
i am honored to be number 100 for liking your post fergie, a wonderful photo!
Wow, thank you very much, Christine! And I, too, I’m honored that you are number 100!
Emotional nectar – love it!!! (And what a great photo – how do you do it? My close up pics always come out fuzzy or blah!)
Thank you so much, Betty! It’s really a challenge! Lots of practice and patience, good lighting and a fast shutter speed. Try to focus on the eyes. Also, lots of throw-aways to get to a decent shot.
Wow! Talk about up close and personal! Wonderful shooting!
Thank you very much! Yes, I like to get close and personal, but not so personal that it gets annoyed with me. Those stingers are big ouches.
Beautiful, I love this photo !
Thank you very much, Inspired! So glad you liked it.

I could use this everyday to soothe my nerves…just bringing calmness,”calm reflection
sustains mind and body
emotional nectar.” Thank you. Have a great day.
Thank you so much, IT! Nature has such an amazing way of soothing us, doesn’t it.
Amazing clarity! Love the detail – the bee’s hairs look fluffy and soft and the wings are iridescent, but with a little thickness that almost looks waxy. A wonderful close up shot that gives us a view we normally don’t see.
Wow, thank you so much! Sometimes seeing the detail in closeups make them look like they aren’t real, like you described about “waxy” wings.
Amazing! Now the bees are posing for you too?
Thank you, Madhu! I just love it when they do that, but it’s not very easy to get them to stay in one spot very long! 🙂
