Intriguing display
Traversing walls and ceilings
Chaotic pattern
>>:::<<
I took this photo in the mid-1990s. This is a photo of an actual room near the tomb of Vincent Van Gogh in Auvers-sur-Oise, France. These are red shoes nailed to the walls and ceilings, and in the lower left part of the photo, there is a sideways painting of some flowers in a vase. I don’t know the meaning behind this display and have been intrigued with it ever since I looked into this room. Distorted episode? Distorted thinking? Does anyone know?

What a wonderful and as you say intriguing photo. It looks more like a painting than photo. Good choice. Still working on mine. Going through archive.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
This is very nice, I love the colors in it!
That is really fantistic. Very creative.
Very interesting photo. Someone must know the meaning for this.
Fascinating!
Intriguing!
That was his mother. I am sure he made her climb the walls as a child. 🙂
you have now piqued my interest
Unique!
Hi,
A very different photo, a very good choice for the theme.
This is my favourite by far!
I don’t think any explanation is necessary. The fact that it’s not clear what the display is about, makes it even more intriguing. I think the way your processed the picture really added to its expressive force. I can just keep looking at and never get tired. A great photo.
I dont understand it, but i like it! :o) The colors are beautiful.
Nice one, distortion makes you re-think what’s real. What’s ‘normal.’
brought to mind “the girl in the red shoes” story. whatever, it is intriguing.
Put on your red shoes baby, and climb out of your prison
wow, good choice! very disorienting 🙂
Wow. That is…distorted. Perfect illustration. Wow.
Love it (whatever it is).
Very intriguing indeed – makes you look again and again (& think).
Distorted episode? Distorted thinking?

distorted by the remembrance of an affair
compare my photo:
As if someone nailed shoes all over the place and then sat imagining he or she was there inspecting every little corner of the room. Our truth is distorted anyway, so why not?! Nice one!
That is awesome!
Imagination in its creation and imagination needed to view. Great image of a facinating concept.
To my uneducated eye it all looks very Vincent Van Gogh, which is surely not an accident.
What a fascinating, mind intriguing, emotion provoking Art pattern. Such a beautiful art piece. Wonderful photo…thanks for sharing…have a great day.
Very impressive. I like it. 🙂
How curious! I’d like to find out more about it.

I feel like catching those red shoes…. Fun and fascinating to look at.
Indeed disorienting since I thought this was a house flooded with water and cute red fish. 🙂
