Organic antique
Increasing its worth with age
Wisdom’s patina

I’m posting this for the “E” Challenge by Frizztext (“E” is for Etegami).
Old tree & canyon —> Age —> Wisdom —> Patina (figurative) —> Increases value
The original photo used for this photomanipulation was taken at Dead Horse Point State Park in Southeastern Utah, USA, near Canyonlands National Park. The discovermoab website states that “The view from Dead Horse Point is one of the most photographed scenic vistas in the world,” the panorama of the Colorado River Canyon.
Etegami 絵手紙 – Japanese word meaning picture letter/message, traditionally done in a postcard size meant to be mailed.

It’s like a Japanese park. Impressive.
thank you for your ETEGAMI!
Fabulous words of wisdom!
The little red Japanese stamp sets the seal on it (pun intended). Did you make the stamp in Photoshop or something? It looks nice.
Yes, I designed and created a digital stamp (hanko) in Photoshop Elements. Thanks!
I wish I had that creative idea. Like the concept, image and the sentiment. Just great.
Beautiful words and image – amazing!
This is terrific! One of my favourites so far!!

A very carefully done study. I like it.
gorgeous art and writing!
The verse says it all.
I like the wc, especially the sky.
Always Japanese art/culture impresses me… And now reading and watching your post fascinated me. Etegami seems so beautiful, and your haiku touches great. Thank you dear Fergie, with my love, nia
Wise and beautifully effective!
This old tree is very much an organic antique filled with much more wisdom than most of us ever gain. Wonderful!
isn´t it sad that you are vise at an age you don´t really need it anymore. I like what you did to the photo.
I loved this post. In a novel, Salt Bear, I used Dead Horse Point as a central place in the story. Therefore I loved the manipulated photograph. Ethel and I liked the poem too.
What a gorgeous picture this week. You are certainly very creative. genie
Elegant as well as Etigami!
Great Entry my friend 🙂
Nice work.
Regards and best wishes
Very nice indeed!!!
Your vision is so elegant and almost flurry. I always enjoy coming back to your blog. And I find it amazing that you can turn one of the most photographed scenic vistas in the world into something unique. You are the holder of artistic Etegami.
